Strategic Definitions
Creating clarity when there is ambiguity…
Our Vision
Nucleus- Be the steppingstone, inception, and centre for early-career artists.
Fostering future artists- Training and mentoring the next generation of artists, musicians, performers, curators, writers, and programmers.
Purpose
Homely community arts centre- be the safe space and place for the community to come and create.
Emerging artist- is someone in the early stages of their career. “Someone who has a large body of work potentially developed during their studies and have not been officially recognised by an established institution or be very popular in the public sphere” (Clifford, 2016).
Collaborate- Be willing to work with the other resident artists or tenants to host exhibitions or workshops at House Conspiracy.
Experiment- Have the freedom and autonomy to create without fear.
Forge connections- Connect with established creatives in the Brisbane community and connect new creatives with the public through exhibitions or workshops.
Address what matters- Challenge injustices or highlight topics that matter to each artist during their residency and tenancy.
