House Conspiracy's Jonathan O'Brien sits down with April Giblin to chat about colour, queer communities, and the respectful processes that surround telling others' stories.
April Giblin experiments with portraiture by using colours to evoke emotion to tell a story. Her art style flirts and blurs the lines between Fauvism, Colour Field, Abstraction and Portraiture. Aprils’ work carries an underlying theme about reality and the human condition. In her recent work, April is exploring gender and sexuality by documenting people and their experiences in the 21st century.
