Juno Toraiwa

Juno Toraiwa is a dance artist currently based in Brisbane. She moved to Brisbane in 2017. Prior to coming to Australia she had been trained, making choreographic works and performing contemporary dance in Berlin, Germany. She has a diversity of interests in experimenting with movements with a particular weight on improvisation as a performance. Since relocation to Australia, she has been developing own work independently as well as in collaboration with local artists. In February 2019, she carried out a residency at House Conspiracy which led to the development of “A woman, a table and the wolf, where she explored the constraints of being a woman resulted in a site specific performance on the table.
