Thomas Bartsch is an independent theatre maker and visual artist from Brisbane. With a theatre practice spanning directing, writing, performing and designing, Thomas is committed to the development of new Australian work that thinks of its audience as much is it thinks of itself. His work excavates myth, the gothic and the absurd through narrative in live performance in the pursuit of extending on the tragicomedy. Emerging as a strong voice in the underground punk and DIY scene, Thomas’ two dimensional visual work consists of high detail organic forms contrasted in rigid structure and freehand typography. Thomas seeks to combine these two branches of his practice during his time at House Conspiracy.
